As we are edified in our walk with Christ, many of us are called to take unconventional and seemingly unwise paths. Though initially daunting and sometimes confusing, we move forward in faith and towards Godās still small voice. Oftentimes, itās the road less traveled, but we are not left without having a Light unto our path, which is Jesus.
I had the opportunity to chat with Jay Deneeā, a media and mental health professional from Chicago; a creative, a counselor, and a professing Christian. Just weeks ago, she announced her leap into full-time entrepreneurship. In this conversation, she shares:
How she discerned that God was calling her away from your traditional job and into entrepreneurship.
How she dealt with the initial fears about leaving a āstableā job.
How she experienced God's provision during the transition.
How she handled the lack of support and negative feedback from others.
Practical advice for someone who feels like they are being called away from a traditional 9-5 job but is unsure of the next steps.
While all of us are not called to full-time entrepreneurship, thereās so much to learn about moving in faith even without all the details. Embracing the unknown and trusting in Godās guidance and providence can lead to incredible growth and new possibilities.
